One licence-checked specialist, not five quotes
Find the installer who specialises in your heating or cooling job.
A split system, ducted gas heating, evaporative cooling, a service or a repair. Tell us the job and your postcode. Local installers who specialise in that work, and whose licences we've checked, see it, and the one who takes it calls you to quote.
- Ducted heating goes to a ducted heating specialist. A split system goes to someone who fits splits every week.
- Only the installer who takes your job gets your details.
- Free for you. Installers pay us for each job we pass on.
Heating, cooling or both?
Some homes need cooling most of the year, some need heating, and plenty need both. Start with the job you've got, and installers who do that work where you live will see it.
Cooling
New systems, replacing an old one, or getting the one you have working properly again.
Heating
Ducted gas, reverse cycle, hydronic, and the safety checks gas heaters need.
How it works
- 01
Tell us the job
What you need, what's there now and your postcode. It takes a couple of minutes, and you can say more on the call.
- 02
Local specialists see it
Ducted heating goes to ducted heating installers, evaporative to people who service coolers every week. We check their licences before they can see jobs, and only the one who takes yours gets your contact details.
- 03
They call you to quote
The installer arranges a time to look and gives you a written quote. Whether you go ahead is up to you. If no local installer takes it within 48 hours, installers elsewhere in your state may see it too.
The specialist for your job. Not five phone calls.
Plenty of quote sites pass your number to several businesses at once, and they all ring. Your job goes to local installers who specialise in it, and only the one who takes it gets your number. If the quote isn't right for you, you're free to say no.
How it worksWhich system suits your home?
The short version of each. The guides go deeper.
| System | Good for | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Split system | One or two rooms. Reverse cycle models heat as well as cool. | Each room needs its own indoor unit. |
| Ducted reverse cycle | Heating and cooling the whole house, room by room with zoning. | Needs roof or underfloor space for the ducts. A bigger job. |
| Multi-split | Several rooms from one outdoor unit. | If the outdoor unit stops, every room stops. |
| Evaporative | Dry heat, with plenty of fresh air. | Struggles on humid days. It doesn't heat. |
| Gas ducted heating | Heating the whole house. | Heating only, and Victoria's rules on gas are changing. |
| Hydronic | Gentle, even heat through panels or the floor. | Slower to warm a room. Heating only. |

What size air conditioner do I need?
Too small and it runs flat out on the hottest day. Too big and it switches on and off and never feels right. Here's how sizing works.

Questions people ask
Is it free?
Yes, for you. Installers pay us for each job we pass on. That's how we're paid, and it's why we only work with installers whose licences we've checked. How we're paid.
Who sees my job?
Licence-checked installers near you who do that kind of work. A ducted gas heater replacement and a single bedroom split are different jobs, so different specialists see them. The one who takes your job calls you.
Who gets my details?
Only the installer who takes your job. Other installers see the job, your first name and suburb, never your phone number or email, and we never sell your details. Privacy.
Do you install or repair anything yourselves?
No. We're a referral service. Licensed local installers do the work, quote you directly and stand behind their own work.
Why don't you show prices?
Because every home is different. The size of the rooms, where the units can go, the wiring and what's there now all change the job. A written quote from an installer who has seen your home is the only number worth having.
What about Victorian Energy Upgrades discounts?
Some heating and cooling jobs in Victoria can get a VEU discount through an accredited provider. Your installer will tell you whether they're accredited and whether your job could qualify. VEU is a voluntary program, and Find My Aircon is not the Victorian Government. How VEU works.
What if you don't have an installer near me?
If no local installer takes your job within 48 hours, installers elsewhere in your state may see it too. Only the one who takes it gets your details.
